Birgit Kempker

Birgit Kempker studied art and literature, theory and practice, in Zürich and Hildesheim. She studied at the F+F School for Experimental Design in Zürich between 1978 and 1981; she reported on her time at the F+F in a video interview in 2021. She has been active as a writer since 1978. She has worked on exhibitions and theater performances, produces radio plays, net art, installations and videos, and acts as a lecturer for poetic processes at the Institute of Art FHNW Basel, at the Swiss Literature Institute Biel and in the art course of the F+F School. She lives in Basel.
