Corina Flühmann

Corina Flühmann (b. 1963) lives and works in Zurich. Grew up in Sarnen (OW), completed a commercial apprenticeship there after secondary school. At the age of twenty she moved to Vancouver for one and a half years and made her first experiences with photography. After her return, she decided to study at the Institute of Applied Psychology in Zurich. In 1989 she graduated in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, followed by a diploma as a professional and career counselor. This was followed by five years of practice in this field. The decision to change profession was strengthened in 1993/94 by participation in GAF, group for autodidactic photography. She completed a year of photo assistance with a studio photographer. From 1995 to 2000 she studied photography at the Zurich School of Art and Design. Since then she has been working as a photographer and lecturer.
