Elektrosmog
Biography
Marco Walser (b. 1973) and Valentin Hindermann (b. 1966) founded Elektrosmog in 1999, a year after graduating from Hochschule für Gestaltung in Zürich. Their interest in vernacular graphic design idioms led them to adapt fonts such as LL Brauer (1999), LL Storno (1999) and LL Le Corbusier Oldface (2004). As Elektrosmog, they created visual environments for Zürich eatery Bananen & Frucht, Kunsthaus Glarus, the Swiss Design Awards and others. In the mid 2000s, they made a name for themselves as book designers for editions by Parkett, Kunsthaus Zürich, Das Magazin and others.
