Hans-Ulrich Schlumpf
Biography
Hans-Ulrich Schlumpf (*1939) lives and works in Zurich. He worked as a photographer in Paris in 1961 and began art and literature studies in Zurich in 1962, which he completed with a dissertation on Paul Klee. Manager of the Swiss Film Center from 1970 to 1973 and publisher of the Swiss Film Catalog (Schweizer Filmkatalog) from 1972 to 1976. An inde- pendent filmmaker since 1974, he has made twenty films including Armand Schulthess. J’ai le téléphone (1974) and Der Kongress der Pinguine (1993).
