Jon Naiman
Biography
Jon Naiman was born in 1965 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he studied photography, film and sculpture. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in art with a concentration in photography from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1989. Afterwards he lived and worked in New York before moving to Bern, Switzerland in 2004. He received two MacDowell Colony Fellowships, was awarded a residency at Anderson Ranch Arts Center, and the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts’ Grant for New Genres, and won the photo prize of the Bern Arts Commission in 2006.
