Philipp Sarasin

Philipp Sarasin (b. 1956, Basel) is a historian and freelance photographer. He is a professor of modern history at the University of  Zurich. As a photographer, he is working on an iconography of cities in the 21st century. Most important publications: Darwin und Foucault. Genealogie und Geschichte im Zeitalter der Biologie (2009); Michel Foucault zur Einführung (2005); Anthrax: Bioterror as Fact and Fantasy (2006); Reizbare Maschinen.
