Ruedi Widmer
Biography
Ruedi Widmer (b. 1973 in Winterthur) is a Swiss illustrator and cartoonist. After completing a preliminary course at the Zurich School of Design, Widmer completed an apprenticeship as a graphic designer and has worked as a graphic designer and designer in Zürich since 1994, later becoming self-employed in Zürich and Winterthur. He began drawing cartoons in 1995 and has published cartoons regularly in Swiss newspapers since 2000, including the weekly WOZ, Tages-Anzeiger and Saldo. He has also published cartoons in Titanic, Strapazin, etc. Since 2000, the Winterthur newspaper Der Landbote has published a weekly cartoon column entitled "Die letzten Geheimnisse einer rationalen Welt" (The last secrets of a rational world).
